Beautiful Wedding Gift - Guest Tree

A reader named Mariëlle, from the Netherlands, emailed me a photo of this wonderful Guest Tree from her Wedding!

They used a plain canvas and transferred the Old spooky tree image (although it certainly doesn't look spooky here!) onto it. Each guest placed their finger print somewhere on the tree, using archival ink, and then wrote their name in.

I think this is such a wonderful idea and something she and her husband will enjoy for the rest of their lives!

  1. I absolutely adore this and it could have SO many other uses for anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, christenings...anything where you would like to document who attended in a beautiful and memorable way. Did she say what size this is?

I'd like to do it for my classroom!! I can have each class put their prints and have a series through the years....and a forest of students!

  5. Oh that is soooo COOL!!! I LOVE it! What a great way to preserve the memory of a wedding day...so much more personal than a guest book and a wonderful piece of artwork to boot! TFS

  6. This was such a lovely idea, me and my boyfriend are considering to have something like this at our wedding next year! So simple way to imortalize the guests and the day. And with archival ink, the fingerprints won't fade away. So, if anyone does any crime you'll have their print ;)
