Christmas Project & Printable - Angel Ornaments

Well, I finally found a little free time to actually make a project! These Glittery Snowflake Angel Ornaments are super easy to make and frugal too!!

Supply List:

1) Plastic Snowflakes Ornaments (I got mine at the Dollar Store)

2)Glass Glitter (or your favorite kid friendly glitter if you're making these with kids.)

3)Blue School Glue Gel

4)Hot Glue Gun

5)Spray Sealer to waterproof your printed Angels. ( I like Krylon UV Resistant Clear -Matte)

First stop was the Dollar Store, where I found these glittered plastic Snowflakes for only $1!

Now you could leave the snowflakes the way they are, since they are already glittered, but I am a German Glass Glitter nut, I can never get enough of the stuff! It really gives these cheap snowflakes a much richer, old world look. And it will tarnish over the years, so they'll look super old eventually! I brushed on some blue School Glue Gel (this stuff really grabs the glass glitter, so you'll have minimal glitter shedding!), and them dipped them in a tray full of glitter to coat.

Here's the side by side of the before and after... it really does make a big difference!

The next thing I did was cut out my Angel images from the printable. (If your printer doesn't use waterproof ink, spray the print out with some Sealer first, to set the ink. ) After that you can add some glitter to the Angels, along the edges, and any where else you like. When dry, hot glue the Angels to the front of the Snowflakes.

Easy peasy right?!! You could also add a pretty ribbon in place of the hanger, if you wanted to go a step further. I hope you liked this project! For more crafts using Dollar Store materials check out Dollar Store Crafts!
