Tauni and all of the girls did an amazing job at putting it together! It was the first one (I hope there will be many more!), but you would never have known it. Everything was so beautifully organized and very well thought out!
My first morning there I dragged my roomie Gina, from The Shabby Creek Cottage, downstairs, before she had her make-up on, so that we could meet up with my friend Heather, from The Sewing Loft, for breakfast. Yes, that's why she's hiding! Gina gave us both a little Instagram lesson and then promptly regretted it! haha!
Rhonna, Shelley and Me
I was super excited to finally meet the uber talented Rhonna Farrer for the first time. We have chatted via email and on twitter for quite awhile now, but it was great to meet in person. I had met Shelley from The House of Smiths, briefly at another conference last year, and enjoyed spending a little more time with her at Snap, she is also very talented!
Beckie Farrant, from Infarrantly Creative, and I took a wonderful Video Class at Snap taught by producer and author Roger Sherman. We both ended up having lunch with him and before we knew it, we were doing clips for the video! Becky is a real pro at this kind of stuff, I was so glad she was there goofing off behind the camera to help me get through it!
The gardens at the venue were just gorgeous!
We were there at the perfect time, since it was their annual Tulip Festival!
Here's a photo of Gina and I after we explored the gardens for a bit. This photo was taken by Ruthie from What's Cooking with Ruthie. I so wish I had a photo of her too, she is such a doll! She just sort of happened upon us and offered to take this photo. We ended up chatting with her for awhile and then we all had dinner together and had the best time! That's how it is at these conferences, friendships are formed everywhere... it's really one of my favorite things about going to these events!
Ana, Me, and Heather
Meeting Ana, from We Love Citrus, was another one of those chance meetings. She was sitting at the next table alone during breakfast the first morning, and I invited her to join us. We all adored her from the moment we met her and became instant friends! She has the loveliest Brazilian accent, although she lives in the U.S. now, and she has a super cute online shop, filled with all sorts of darling products!
I got to meet up with a bunch of the girls from Crafterminds, one of my favorite places to spend time online! Shown are Me, Heather, Jennifer from Always in Wonder, Sara from Mom Endeavors, Amy from Mod Podge Rocks, Vivienne from The V Spot, Heidi from Honeybear Lane , in the back row. And in the front row are Katie fromSweet Rose Studio, and Alexa from I Love to Create.
I also got to meet Gina's friends... Lisa from Pennington Point, Lisa from Studio Jewel and Amanda from Everyday Elements. They were all as sweet as can be! Lisa Lehmann kept me sane on my way home, I had a bit a of an airport snafu, that resulted in an extra long travel day. Thankfully Lisa and I ended up having a flight together, which made the time go much faster!

Rumor has it we have Shelley to thank for the Dance party on the last night. So fun!
I wish I would have taken more photos, there are so many more people that I connected with, and some that I reconnected with, and I didn't get a single photo of them!
So here's the thing ... if you're a creative blogger, or want to be one, this Conference is the perfect event for you. The classes were excellent, the venue was perfect, the food was great, there was loads of fabulous swag, and I think I've already established that the people were amazing!! I'll definitely be going back to Snap next year, I hope to see you there!

So glad you had a wonderful time.. I miss that stuff sometimes ~sigh~

Tauni
Hi Tauni,
DeleteI would have loved to have spent more time with you too, as I'm sure so many people would have, but we all understood how busy you were!! Hopefully it won't be as much work for you next year, now that you have one under your belt, and you have the ground work all done from 2012.
Thank you again for putting together such an inspiring and fun event. I will definitely be back again next year!
