This December, Graphics Fairy Crafts is featuring a set of five fonts for your winter holiday crafts. These fonts were chosen to coordinate with your winter holiday projects and would work well for party invites, gift tags, and ornaments. We chose the fonts this month for their very different looks - from a very formal script, to a minimalist font, to an industrial / retro look.
Here are the five picks for December. While we've shown the fonts in black and white, experiment with your text color and these fonts really pop!
To download a font, click on the hyperlinked words below each font example. The link will take you to a site that offers a free download of the font.*

We used The Graphics Fairy's Adorable Elf Girl image and her Old World Santa in this post to compliment the December font picks. You can find both images and a TON of Christmas and holiday-themed clip art on the The Graphics Fairy blog.
Enjoy and please leave a comment if you make something with one of the fonts or images. I'd love to see what you make!

*A note about downloading, installing & using fonts: There are a lot of sites out there that offer free fonts. Some are set up mostly to display ads, and others take you to suspicious files & links. While we don't recommend one free font website over another, we have tried to link to the more straightforward sites to make finding the font easier for you. Don't forget to follow the site's specific directions to download and install the font. If you are a crafter and will be selling your work, please be sure to read any files or information that comes with the font. Some fonts have restrictions on the commercial use of a font for mass production quantities and on the sharing / redistribution of the font file itself.

I love the look of the Lavenderia Font, but it doesn't appear to be a free download. Bummer! Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteHi! The donation amount on that site is optional. Just type 0 in the donation box and you can download it. That is how I downloaded it. I linked to the author's website because that seems to be (when you do 0 as a donation) the only place you can get it for free --- all the other sites I saw charge for it. Hope that helps. - Emily
DeleteThank you for letting me know. I'm going to give it a try.
DeleteThese are awesome. I need a class on fonts and how to use them. I am not a graphic artist, but I hope to learn a lot from you. New follower!

DeleteThanks so much. I think I'm addicted to fonts...is it fatal?
ReplyDeleteNot fatal, but you can kill a TON of time going through them all and then trying to remember the names of the ones you downloaded when you actually want to use them : )
DeleteThank you so much. I have so many fonts but always looking for something new and different. I really like this collection. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Em. We're happy you like these!
