Fantastic Fondant Cake

I'm so tickled to be able to share this amazing Cake with you today! Jane from I Want Sprinkles shared this via my Facebook page and I'm so thrilled that she did! Jane used Fondant for this Cake, and used food coloring to add the edible Wreath with Bee Graphic to the Fondant! She has an excellent tutorial on how to make the Egg on her Facebook page. So realistic looking!!

Beautiful Basket Organizing

Today's post is by Lisa, a home schooling mom of NINE kids! Now she knows a thing or two about organizing.... so let's hear it for Lisa...

Over here at The Pennington Point we have a constant need to keep our homeschool supplies organized and

Mom has a need for things to look pretty. Dad has a need to save money which makes the challenge even harder. The Graphics Fairy to the rescue! The books and papers aren't as much of a problem and the endless amount of teeny tiny supplies. Crayons, tape, flash cards, blocks, puzzles, on and on and will somebody stop me before I realize how much junk we have around here?! I decided that baskets were me best bet to hide all of the little school supplies and I looked for some cool graphics to make myself feel better. I found lots of great ideas, but settled on a few that would highlight what I wanted.

After I printed the graphics I cut them down and backed with aqua cardstock. I wanted a pop of color, but not too much. It's already a busy spot and didn't need too much distraction. I punched a hole in the top and used twine to tie it all together. Then I grabbed a few of my chalkboard tags and it all easily fell into place.  Now it fits all of our requirements: organized, pretty and cheap!

And best of all, the kids can quickly find what they need.

Royal Display Window - Corgis and Crown

I so love this! This Royal Display was the creation of The Hambledon Blog.  They created this charming display for the shop window of their English Boutique. As a Corgi lover and owner, I couldn't resist posting about this! If you look closely you may recall my Colorful Crown Graphic on the head of the "Royal Imposter" as they referred to him. If I were walking past this shop, and I so wish that I was, there is no way I could resist going in. Union Jack Ribbon

I just love this Union Jack Fabric Ribbon created by Donna from Distressed Donna Down Home! Isn't it darling?!  Donna used the British Flag Image and the Crown Music Graphic for this adorable Ribbon! Beautiful Paper Bird Cones

These beautiful Paper Bird Cones are from Poudre de Riz Acte 2 Blog. Aren't they just the loveliest cones ever?!! She used the Brown and Gray Bird Graphic to create these precious pieces.  I believe she sells these on her site, along with many other pretty things, (although this particular set is sold) so be sure and check her blog out!

Ephemera Art Buttons

 These charming Ephemera Art Buttons were the creation of Lin from Lin's Arty Blobs!

I'm not entirely sure of her technique, but I believe she used clear plastic buttons and Decoupaged Vintage Ephemera Graphics to the back of them.  Love these! These adorable little bits of art are featured in the current issue of Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine, so grab a copy if you want the full instructions. Congrats on being published Lin!
