Hi there everyone, it's Andrea from The Cottage Market. I am so happy
to be doing a craft project along with a home DIY each month here at the
Graphics Fairy. Today's project is easy beyond belief and is a
perfect little token that kids of all ages will love. It's a
Yo-Yo Valentine!
For this project you will need:
a yo-yo...you can find these plain wooden yo yo's at Tarjay in their $1 section...they come in different colors so you don't even have to bring out the paint!
Print the images of your choice...that's the hardest part...there is such a variety here it will take a while to make your decision.
Then you need a brush, some Mod Podge and of course a scissors to cut the image. That's it!
Brush the Mod Podge on the entire circle top...
then if you are working with a square, place it right on top of the yo-yo...
allow it to dry. If using a cut out...brush the Mod Podge on the back of the
image...wait a minute and then apply to the yo-you.
Now when the glue dries on the square one (approximately 5 minutes) Take a
sanding block or piece of sand paper and remove the excess paper...this works
great...smooth and perfect! REPEAT on the other side...add a few coats of Mod Podge
over the images and you are done! It's that easy. You can add a little embellishment
if you like and then pack it up in a cute little cello bag...attach a card and give someone
a smile!
They are cute...fast and fun. Hope you enjoy this little craft and here's wishing
everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!...(((HUGS)))

such a cute and clever idea--tfs, andrea:)
